New Employee Orientation

During a new employee's orientation and onboarding, they will fill their toolkits with the following courses facilitated by our knowledgeable and skilled trainers. The courses include but are not limited to:

  • Danielle's Law
  • Stephen Kominos Law
  • Universal Precautions for Health, Safety, & Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Incident Reporting 
  • Prevention of Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, & Bullying
  • Our Vision Mission, Code of Ethics, & Core Values
  • Data Collection and Reporting 
  • Shifting Expectations & Perceptions
  • Our Core Elements
  • Safe Handling and Assistive Equipment
  • Mealtime Management 
  • Behavior Supports
  • Day Program's Policies and Procedures
  • Introduction to Transportation
  • Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation

Annual Training

Following Orientation, employees are set up with online coursework from the College of Direct Support. More than 80 courses are required during their initial 90 days of employment. ​
In addition, our employees attend a yearly, two-day staff development on site program, which includes 12 hours of mandated and supportive development sessions before they return to their jobs.

We expect the best from our employees, hence the reason we take such extensive measures to correctly equip them for their roles in our Program. From the first day on the job and onward, our staff is continuously seeking new ways to improve their delivery of services.
